Kevin, Director of the practice has successfully expanded the range of projects over the years that the Practice now focuses on. He has vast experience in the construction industry and has worked on a wide range of projects from housing developments, office/retail, School projects, apartment complexes, HealthCare, Ecclesiastical buildings, one off house’s and domestic extensions.

Kevin has built up a great reputation, created a wide range of contacts and established an extremely wide client base throughout the years all over Munster. Kevin is normally the initial point of contact in the office and deals directly with all legal queries such as land registry requirements, building reports etc.

Paul, Director of the practice has gained a wealth of experience coming initially from his background as an Architectural Technologist before advancing his studies and completing his degree in Architecture. He has vast experience working on a wide range of projects from housing developments, healthcare, office/retail, School Projects, Sports Buildings, bespoke houses and domestic extensions.

Paul is committed to establishing a strong collaboration with clients which results in quality design and buildings which integrate into their surroundings whilst being sustainable and energy efficient. Paul carries out the role of Assigned Certifier & PSDP in the office.

Micheál Lynch

After graduating in 2003, Micheal joined our team in 2008 having previously worked and gained experience in London, Sydney and Cork. Micheál has considerable experience working with clients through brief development, building design and project management. He has a particular interest and flair in vernacular architecture producing designs that are both responsive and sympathetic to the site while balancing current trends with traditional design. Micheál has proved through his designs that working with simple palettes of materials can breathe new life into traditional rural and suburban house designs.

Micheál has developed considerable expertise & skill over the years in a wide range of building types including Residential, Offices, Retail, Education, Healthcare, and Sports/Leisure, Religious and Commercial Projects. Micheál has extensive site experience working as a project architect which involves carrying out comprehensive condition inspection reports on existing buildings and progress reports on buildings under construction. Micheál is committed to continued professional development and regularly attends courses on enacted of amendments to Building Regulations, Managing Safety in Construction and Duties as a Designer to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.

Before settling in Cork, Edel lived in a number of different countries working in diverse practices in Christchurch, Wellington, London, Luxembourg and Jordan, gaining a wealth of experience on a wide range of projects to include schools, housing developments, student accommodation, sports buildings, office/retail fit out, a National Aquarium, new build houses and domestic extensions. Edel has been project architect on a number of schools and has led and co-ordinated design teams from inception to completion to achieve successful projects. Edel fosters an inherent client focused design approach and joins the client on a journey from developing a brief to realising an immersive project that is both purposeful and sensitive to its context.

Tim has gained a wealth of experience as an Architectural Technologist. He has a particular interest in sustainable design and is regarded as a very experienced construction detailer. Tim’s work involves the preparation of planning applications, detailed Tender Packages and management of the construction projects to completion.

He has extensive experience in the construction industry and has worked on a wide range of projects from modest dwellings, multi residential housing & apartment schemes, hotels, office/retail, and multi-million euro fit outs of high rise office and apartment complexes. Tim has a particular interest and flair for contemporary design and passive and low energy building types. Tim is the Practice’s in house Passive Designer. Tim is committed to continuous learning and has recently completed Advanced Fire Safety Certification and Building Regulatory Engineering courses at Cork Institute of Technology.

Adrienne has worked in the Practice for over 20 years providing secretarial and administrative assistance to the Team. Prior to working in O’Keeffe O’Connell Architects Limited Adrienne worked in IDA Ireland in Dublin and then married took some time out to raise her family. Tim has extensive experience in a wide range of roles involving working on projects such as Residential (one off and multiple), Educational, Residential Care, and Commercial. Tim has a particular skill in construction detailing and managing projects from conception through to completion and administering project budgets. Tim has a flair for conceptual design, excelling in preliminary Sketch Designs and Sketch-Up models.

Tim is involved in the preparation of detailed Tender Packages including detailed drawings and specification documents, fulfilling the role of P.S.D.P. on projects and preparing Preliminary Health and Safety plans. Tim manages the tender process, contract administration and BCAR requirements for both public and private sector projects. Tim has recently completed Advanced Fire Safety Certification and Building Regulatory Engineering courses which are modules of an upcoming P.Grad.Dip. at Cork Institute of Technology.
